The Year 7 boy’s football team continued their unbeaten season with a vital win against Harris Crystal Palace A in a home league match last Friday.

The Quest team were eagerly anticipating a tough challenge after manager Mr Wilder had been reliably informed by fellow school coaches that Harris CP were one of the strongest opposition teams in Croydon borough this season for this age group.

This was certainly Quest’s toughest game so far and was probably the most disappointing team performance from Quest in terms of how much teamwork and flowing football was played. However Quest managed to win the game in an ugly fashion which is always a sign of a championship winning team, thanks to goals from the ever impressive duo Subby N and Nathan N. Another shout out must also go to the defence who kept a clean sheet against the strongest team we have played this season.

This leaves Quest on the verge of clinching the C division title with only Meridian High left to play. The boys have won all 5 of their league games so far.

YEAR 7 LEAGUE RESULTS:

Quest 4-1 Riddlesdown B

Quest 11-1 St Joseph’s B

Quest 11-0 St Mary’s

Quest 4-1 Oasis Arena (Game abandoned 10 mins into second-half at 4-1 due to an Oasis injury – Quest given 4-1 win)

Quest 2-0 Harris Crystal Palace A

The boys are also still awaiting their semi-final opponent in the Croydon Cup! What a great season this is shaping up to be!
