Bike To School Week 23rd – 27th September 2019
Bike to School Week is a week-long event designed to showcase the benefits of cycling/scooting to school across the UK.
It is a great opportunity to promote the positive impact that an active lifestyle can have on pupils’ wellbeing and health. It’s free, there’s no need to register, and it’s a fantastic way to get warmed up ready for Sustrans Big Pedal in the spring. Teachers and Children also discussed the environmental benefits to cycle/scooter to school.
“The weather wasn’t very kind to us it felt like we had the wettest week in the whole year. Still we were very pleased to see many children riding bikes/scooters to school all week. We would like to thank all the parents and children supporting us.” Mr Lockton
On the last day children were invited to ‘bling their bike/scooter’. The theme was “Recycling/ECO/Sustainability” and two winners were chosen by Mr Lockton.
Well done everyone!
