Vacancy: Teacher of Economics and Business Studies

Location: The Quest Academy

Start Date: 1st September 2024

Full Time/Part Time/Permanent

Closing Date: 17th July 2024

The Quest Academy is looking for a skilled and passionate Teacher of Economics & Business Studies to join our successful Faculty.

The Quest Economics & Business Studies team is very strong and delivers consistently high standards – at both GCSE and A-Level. The Faculty is well established and an area of excellent practice – it is a fantastic place to accelerate the development of your own teaching skills, and share ideas on what makes outstanding learning. We would very much welcome an application from you.

What does the role involve?

The main aim of this role is to deliver exceptional teaching and learning for the fantastic students of our great school. In Economics & Business Studies, we teach students from Year 10 to Year 13. You will be required to actively engage in up-to-date teaching pedagogy and contribute to the continual improvement and refinement of teaching.

You will also join one of our 3 Houses or Quest6 as a Form Tutor and through this vital role help students settle for the day and develop the learning attributes required to engage in active learning.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who is passionate about teaching Economics & Business Studies and is able to share this enthusiasm with their students so they develop a real thirst for knowledge. You will need to be a teacher who is capable of building strong relationships with students and families to help maximise this enthusiasm and thirst for learning.

The job description and person specification shown in the application pack will give you a good indication of who we are looking for, including the skills and experience that would make for our ideal candidate.

This motto goes further than our students, however. It is also true for staff, and the school community as a whole. We believe that by creating the opportunity and environment in which staff can flourish, they too can enjoy transformational learning. In essence, this is what makes The Quest Academy such an enjoyable and fulfilling place to teach.
