Summer School
Over the summer holidays, the new Year 7 pupils came to The Quest Academy for Summer School running the weeks commencing the 14th and 21st.
Summer School is an important part of the transition calendar as there is no better way to prepare the pupils for their start here than to let them experience it themselves!
The pupils enjoyed a day at Frylands Wood filled with assault courses, archery, orienteering and disk golf. Additionally, the pupils experienced many classroom-based subjects and activities, including Geography, History, Drama, Maths, English, a “Quest Around Quest”, e-safety and P.E. At every break and lunch, there were competitive games of football and netball, facilitated by our lovely Year 8 helpers.
Hopefully, the pupils had a great time and feel a little less nervous about September knowing there will be familiar faces on their first day. We’re very excited for their 7-year journey here with us!
