A group of 33 students along with Mr Ashmore and Mr Bevan took the short trip across Surrey to Esher to have a go and skiing. The vast majority of the group had never skied before so there was a feeling of excitement and nerves as we arrived for our session.

After getting our skis and boots fitted we made our way to the nursery slope where our group was split into three smaller groups, each group was taught the basics of skiing and by the end of the session everyone had the chance to ski down the whole slope using the snow plough technique we had just learnt.

At some point in the day almost all of us experienced falling over, some more than others but we all had a great day and we now can’t wait for our ‘proper’ ski trip in February.
