The Science department at the Quest faced its fair share of the negative impact of the national lockdown on face-to-face teaching and learning. However, the celebration of the British Science week between the 5th and 14th of March was exactly what we needed as a boost to welcoming the students back to school.
In the department each year group celebrated the event in different ways. The year 7 and 8 students were able to express their understanding of the pandemic by engaging in, “How to keep COVID away” project.
At the beginning of the second week of the summer term, the year 7 students immersed themselves in a project on the solar system. Shown here are some of the models made by students.
