In total, 75% of students passed (Grade 4 or above) English and 63% in Maths. On the basis of these results, the Academy expects to report an excellent Progress 8 score of +0.25, which is the 4th year in a row (and ever since P8 was introduced) that Quest has delivered progress above the national average.
Particular mention goes to Leo Chase who produced a fantastic set of results with three 9s, two 8s, a 7, a 6, two 5s and a Distinction Star at BTEC.
Hussein Mohamud also achieved an excellent set of results with two 9s, four 8s, a 6, two 5s and a BTEC Distinction. Hussein said, “Year 11 has been hard, that’s for sure. But with the help of my teachers, I’ve been able to surpass my own limits, and I feel great! It’s been worth all the hard work that I’ve been doing.”
Catherine Colvert achieved an 8, five 7s, three 5s and a Distinction Star at BTEC. She said, “Year 11 has definitely been a challenge but as long as you make sure to work hard in everything you can get the results you want. Thanks to everyone who helped me achieve the grades I got.”
Principal Andy Crofts, said, “Congratulations to all of our students on their results today. It’s pleasing to see that in English three quarters of students passed with a 4+, in Maths nearly two thirds passed with a 4+ and across the board we saw some excellent personal successes. We wish all students the very best for the future; it has been a pleasure to work with them.”
