Students of D&T’s lunchtime club were invited to attend Teen Tech’s Virtual City of Tomorrow event on Tuesday 16th May created by Maggie Philbin OBE whose aim is to excite and engage students in STEAM in school.

Students were asked to explore, research, design and create their buildings of tomorrow in which everyone can work, live and play safer, kinder and smarter. Students were also able to question industry experts on how they are working towards the UN’s 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and what ever-increasing role technology will play a part in our lives in the future.

Students gained a better understanding of issues they are facing on a local, national and global scale and how they might personally make a difference even on the smallest scale.
