Despite being important, at Riddlesdown Collegiate, grades alone do not define success. Our motto regarding our Sixth Form, “Learners of today. Leaders of tomorrow.” In College VI, it is imperative that students are given the opportunity to maximize their ability to succeed in whatever it is they aim to achieve. Academically, students perform exceptionally well with A Level progress being the top 7% in England, with 71% of students gaining places at top third universities, including Oxford, Cambridge and Medicine.

We provide a safe, respectful, and positive community within which students are not afraid to be sceptical; take risks; rise to challenges and show resilience when faced with the adversity of making the transition from Year 11 to Year 12. However, students are offered advice from staff and can benefit from the more autonomy given to them. Our STAMP executive committee member Maya Pilbeam spoke about the different branches of STAMP like primary school reading, tutoring, in lesson support which helps students in the younger years and establishes a” sibling relationship.” Additionally, College VI have access to societies every Tuesdays and Thursdays like South Asian, Christian and BSL societies. This wide range of societies helps students from both year groups interact and socialise more.
