As part of their Stone Age topic, Year 3 learnt what life might have been like for Stone Age people, during their visit to Ashdown Forest. They were able to build shelters, forage for chestnuts and hunt a deer! (Not a real deer, but the teachers were good alternatives!) They also created their own sculpturesĀ using natural resources, just like artist, Andy Goldsworthy. It was great to see the children developing their understanding of this historical topic through Outdoor Learning.
