The 5th – 9th November was a very poignant week at Gossops Green as we marked the centenary of the end of World War One. Across the school, children participated in lessons and activities designed to deepen their understanding of the Great War. Art was a particular focus and children created a number of pieces of art, many of which are now on display around the school, including in the entrance hall and strikingly, around the flagpole at the entrance to the school.

They shall grow not old as we that are left grow old,
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun,
And in the morning,
We will remember them.
