Courtwood Science Week 2023
Courtwood celebrated British Science Week 2023, focussing on the theme – connections.
Each class was set an investigation looking at different connections, ranging from boats in Reception, rockets in Year 3 to Morse code in Year 6.
As well as in class learning, we hosted our first ever science fair. The children had been amazing scientists at home and created some masterpieces to display their research/findings.
A STEM afternoon was hosted for parents with their children creating Pneumatic Monsters and a science investigation exploring the best biscuit to dunk in you tea. Our conclusion was that a hobnob or a rich tea would be favourable!
